Cookies - Sliced - Vanilla Refrigerator Cookies

3 c. flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. oleo
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
4 tsp vanilla
4 T. milk

Cream oleo and sugar together; add eggs. Mix in flour, soda, and salt. Add vanilla and milk. Mix well.

Roll into 3 logs and wrap in waxed paper or saran wrap. Refrigerate overnight.

Slice thin and put on a greased cookie sheet or parchment paper. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.

Variety: Add a square of melted chocolate to dough.

Yield--6 dozen

Add vanilla, beating until blended. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to butter mixture, beating at low speed until blended. Divide cookie dough in half; shape each portion into a 10-inch log. Wrap in wax paper, and chill 8 hours; or freeze up to 6 weeks, and thaw in refrigerator. Cut each roll into 1/3-inch-thick slices; place on lightly greased
