Cookies - School's Peanut Butter Bars

2 sticks butter or margarine
1-1/8 cup sugar
1-1/8 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
dash salt
1-2/3 cup oatmeal

Preheat oven to 350° F.

Cream butter and sugars and eggs in mixing bowl. Add peanut butter, vanilla and flour. Blend well, add the soda, salt and the oatmeal. Spread in a 15x10 pan,(cookie sheet) and bake for 20 min. at 350.

2 cups powdered sugar
2 TBLS. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 TBLS. peanut butter
4 TBLS. butter or marg.

Blend together, may need to add a little more milk.

Note: You may want to add chocolate to these bars, if so just sprinkle about a cup of chips onto bars about 2 minutes after taking them out of the oven, wait a couple of min. and spread the chips. Wait until set or refrigerate before frosting.

1/4 cup butter 1 cup graham cracker crumbs 1 cup shredded coconut 1 (6 ounce) pkg. chocolate bits 1 (6 ounce) pkg. butterscotch bits 1 (15 ounce can) sweetened condensed milk 1 cup walnuts, chopped Melt butter in a 9 x 13 x 2 inch baking pan. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs on bottom and sides of pan. Then add remaining ingredients in layer, in the order given. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Cool and chill. Cut into bars.

3 c. flour 1 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 c. soft oleo Topping: 1/2 c. corn syrup 2 Tbsp. oleo 1 Tbsp. water 6 oz. butterscotch chips Blend well and pat in a 15 x 10-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Sprinkle with 2 cups salted mixed nuts or peanuts. Combine topping and boil 2 minutes. Pour over nuts and return to oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until brown.
