Cookies - Rolled Cookies White Velvet Cut Outs

1 lb. margarine
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2 c. white sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 c. flour

Cream margarine and cheese; add sugar and egg yolks. Add remaining ingredients. Chill at least an hour. Roll out on
lightly floured board and cut into desired shapes. Do not roll too thin. Bake 10 to 12 minutes in 350 degrees oven

1 cup molasses 1 cup buttermilk 1 Tablespoon ground ginger 8 Tablespoons shortening 3 cup flour 1 taspoon baking soda Preheat oven to 375° F/190° C.Melt molasses, shortening and ginger together and blend. Beat 10 minutes by hand, or 3 to 4 minutes with electric beater. Dissolve baking soda in tablespoon of boiling water and add to molasses mixture, mix thoroughly and add flour, folding in just enough to make a good stiff batter which can be rolled. Use enough flour on board to keep dough from sticking and roll to about 1/4" thickness. Bake in preheated moderate oven (375ºF, 190ºC)
