Cookies - Marbled Squares

1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
2-1/3 c. sugar, divided
3 eggs
3/4 c. water
1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 c. flour
1-1/2 sq. (1-1/2 oz) unsweetened baking chocolate
1/2 c. sour cream
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1 c. (6 oz) semisweet chocolate chips

In a small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and 1/3 c. sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in 1 egg; set aside.

In a large saucepan, bring water, butter, and chocolate to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Add flour and remaining sugar; mix well. Stir in sour cream, baking soda, salt and remaining eggs until smooth.

Pour in a greased and floured 15x10 in. pan. Dollop cream cheese mixture over top; with a knife, cut through batter to create a marbled effect. Sprinkle with chocolate chips.

Bake at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes. YIELD: about 5 dozen.

1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened 1/3 cup peanut butter 1 egg 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup old-fashioned oats 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt Peanut butter Frosting (below) 3 Tblsp. baking cocoa 1 Tblsp. milk Heat oven to 350° F. Grease rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches. Beat sugars, butter, peanut butter, and egg in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed. Stir in flour, oats, baking soda, and salt. Spread in pan. Bake 17 to 22 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely on wire rack, about 15 minutes.
