Cookies - Formed Cookies Butter Nut Kissed Cookies
1/2 cup butter or margarine1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-1/4 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
30 foil wrapped kissed
1/2 cup finely ground nuts
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Cream butter or margarine, sugar, egg and vanilla in small mixer bowl until well blended.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Beat well.
Form dough into 1-inch balls. If dough is soft, chill it. Unwrap kisses.
Roll balls in ground nuts, place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes in preheated 350-degree oven until almost no imprint remains when lightly touched in center.
Remove from oven.
Immediately press a chocolate kiss in center. Carefully remove cookies from sheet; cool on wire rack.
Makes about 2-1/2 dozen.
