1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1-1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup potato chips, crushed


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

1/2 c shortening 1 c sugar 2 eggs, beaten 1 c solid pack pumpkin 2 c sifted flour 4 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 2 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp nutmeg 1/4 tsp ginger 1 c raisins 1 c chopped nuts Cream shortening; gradually add sugar. Cream together until light and fluffy. Add eggs and pumpkin, mix well. Sift dry ingredients together, including spices. Add to wet ingredients and mix until well blended. Add raisins and nuts, if desired. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes. Makes 4 dozen cookies. May be frozen
