Cookies - Drop Cookies Raisin Cookies By Michelle

1 cup unsalted butter softened
4 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 tbs. cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 cups raisins

1. Heat oven to 350 F. Butter cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.

2. In large bowl, beat butter until light and fluffy. Add powdered sugar, flour, cornstarch and salt; mix until dough
forms. Stir in raisins. Roll dough into balls, using 1 teaspoon dough for each; place on cookie sheet.

3. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes or until light golden brown around edges. (Surface of cookies will be light) Immediately

1 cup water 1 cup shortning 3 eggs, well beaten 4 cups flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 2 cups raisins 2 cups sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. b.powder 2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp.allspice 1 cup chopped nuts Preheat oven to 375° F.Boil water and raisins 5 minutes; cool. Cream shortening, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Add to cooled water and raisins. Mix dry ingredients; add to raisins. Mix well, add nuts. Drop on cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
