Cookies - Drop Cookies Oatmeal Cookies By Queen Bee

1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups oatmeal


Cream shortening and sugars add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Add dry ingredients, saving oatmeal until last. Drop by teaspoon and flatten with a floured fork. Bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 7 dozen

1 Cup butter 1 Cup margarine 2 Cups sugar 1 egg 2 Cups plain flour (sift) 1 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 4 Cups quick oats Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.Cream together the butter, margarine and sugar.
