Cookies - Black And White Bars

1 C. butter or marg.
2 C. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
2 C. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 C. chopped nuts
2 squares unsweetened chocolate


Cream butter, sugar and vanilla adding eggs, one at a time, beating well. Add flour, salt. Stir in nuts.

Divide batter in half and add cooled melted chocolate to one lot. Drop batter alternately by spoonsful into greased 13"x9"x2" pan. Run knife through batter to create marble effect.
