Cookies - Bars - Cranberry-strawberry Bars

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup firm butter

1 cup srawberry jam
3 eggs beaten
3/4 cup brown sugar packed.
1 tsp vanilla
1 pkg (Oceans Spray) Craisins (dried cranberries)
1 1/4 cups flaked coconut
1 cup roasted chopped cashews

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x13 pan.

Combine the flour and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl. Use a pastry blender to work the butter into the dry ingredients until its very cumbly. Press the mixture into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 15 - 18 mins or until golden brown. Remove the baked crust from the oven and spread the strawberry jam over it.

Meanwhile beat together the eggs, brown sugar, vanilla in a medium bowl. Stir in the dried cranberries, coconut and nuts. Spread this mixture over the strawberry jam.

Bake for 35 mins or until lightly browned. Let cool in the pan on a wire rack. makes 36 bars.
