Chili - Beef - Pinata Pumpkin Chili

1 1/2 lb. Ground beef
1/2 cup Onion -- chopped
1 Garlic clove -- minced
16 oz. Solid pack pumpkin
2 cups Water
1 pkg. Taco seasoning
1 1/2 tsp. Chili powder
1 tsp. Salt
1 cup Cheddar cheese -- shredded
1 cup Corn chips -- crushed
1/2 cup Sour cream
1 Red pepper flakes or 1 Hot pepper sauce


In 3 quart saucepan, cook meat, onion and garlic until meat is brown. Drain. Add pumpkin, water, taco seasoning, chili powder and salt. Bring to a boil. Cover; simmer 30 minutes. Season with red pepper flakes or hot pepper sauce. Garnish with cheese, corn chips and sour cream.

NOTE: May add 16 oz. red kidney beans; drained.

1 lb. ground beef 1/2 cup chopped onion 1 clove garlic, minced 1 can of pumpkin (regular size can) 2 cups water 1 envelope of taco seasoning 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. salt 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1 can of chili beans Brown beef and onions together. Drain off grease if needed. Add garlic and cook for 3 minutes. Add pumpkin, water, taco seasoning, chili powder, chili beans, and salt. Heat slowly for 30 minutes. Add cheese. Serve.
