Casseroles - Vegetable - Green Bean Casserole By Mona M

2 (10 ounce) packages frozen French-style green beans
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated onion or 1 teaspoon onion flakes
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup crushed cornflakes
1 tablespoon butter, melted


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook and drain green beans.

In a large saucepan, combine one tablespoon butter, flour, salt, pepper, sugar, onion, sour cream, and cheese. Stir and cook over low heat until ingredients are well combined and cheese is melted. Add beans, mixing well. Pour into a buttered two-quart casserole. Combine cornflakes with one tablespoon melted butter and sprinkle over bean mixture. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes.

2 (12 oz) pkgs frozen green beans or 1 1/2 qt of canned beans 2 Tblsp melted butter 2 Tblsp flour 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1 tsp sugar 1/2 tsp grated onion 1 cup sour cream 1/2 lb grated cheddar cheese 1/2 cp corn flakes, Mashed 1 Tblsp melted butter Cook the beans for 10 min before finishing recipe. Mix 2 Tblsp melted butter and 2 Tblsp flour. Cook gently. Remove from heat and add salt, pepper, sugar and onions. Stir in sour cream. Fold into the green beans. Put in a greased casserole dish. 1 small onion, minced 3/4 cup fresh mushrooms 2 (15 to 16 ounce) cans French Style Green beans 1 can Cream of Mushroom soup 1/2 cup Bread Crumbs 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar Cheese (preferrably sharp) 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce 1 Tsp Ginger 1 Tsp Black Pepper 1 Tsp Garlic Powder Topping: 1/4 Bread Crumbs 1/4 cup Shredded Cheese Sautee minced onion and mushrooms until tender. Combine with all other casserole ingredients. (Can be mixed in baking dish, if desired). Sprinkle remaining bread crumbs and shredded cheese over top. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove foil
