Casseroles - Beef Steak And Taters

3 T. flour
Salt and pepper to taste
3 lbs. round steak
1 small onion, chopped
7 medium potatoes
2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans of cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
4 1/2 ounce can of button mushrooms

Preheat oven to 300° F.

Combine flour, salt and pepper in a medium bowl.

Cut round steak into 2" pieces and dip into flour mixture to coat.

In a skillet, brown meat and onion in a small amount of oil; set aside.

Peel and slice potatoes into 1/8 inch thick slices.

Place in saucepan and cover with water.

Bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes; drain.

Mix mushroom soup with milk.

Layer potatoes, steak, mushrooms, and soup mixture ending with soup.

Bake at 300 degrees for 2 hours.

1 c chopped onion2 tbs margarine3 tbs flour1 1/2 c beef broth1/2 c Steak sauce3 c cubed, cooked steak1 16 oz pkg of frozen stew veggies ( includes potatoes, carrots, peas.) or you can use whatever combo you likePrepared pastry for 1 crust piein saucepan, cook onion in margarine until tender. Blend in flour. Cook for about 1 min. Add broth and steak sauce. Turn heat to high and cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and starts to boil. Add steak and veggies. Put in an 8 inch square pan. Roll pastry to fit and seal crust to edge of dish.
