1 Pound Unsalted Butter
1 Pound Light Brown Sugar

Butter bottom of cookie sheet well; sprinkle chopped nuts on it. Melt butter and brown sugar together over medium heat (stirring constantly) to 290 degrees. Cook at 290 until it just starts to go above it. Remove from heat and very quickly pour over nuts and spread out.

Lay broken pieces of chocolate, or chips, on top and as it melts spread over toffee mixture. Break into pieces when cool.
