Candy - Pralines - Maple Pralines

1 cup sugar
2/3 cup milk
1/2 cup real maple syrup
2 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup chopped walnuts


In a 1 1/2 quart saucepan combine sugar, milk and maple syrup. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Cook to softball stage without stirring. Stir in butter (at room temp.) Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes without stirring.

Stir in walnuts and continue stirring until mixture looks cloudy and begins to thicken. Drop spoonfuls into patties onto wax paper or cookie sheets lightly sprayed with cooking spray. Cool completely. Store in an airtight container.

18-20 Graham Crackers 2 sticks margarine 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup pecans Place whole Graham Crackers on a cookie sheet , filling all spaces. Boil remaining ingredients for 1 1/2 minutes. Pour over Graham Crackers. Bake at 350 oven for 5-6 minutes until it bubbles. Cool completely before cutting into pieces.
