Line a cookie sheet with foil and lightly butter. In a microwave safe 8 cup bowl combine 1 cup of sugar and 1/2cup light corn syrup. Microwave on HIGH for 4 minutes, stir. Add 1 cup of unsalted peanuts, mixing well. microwave on HIGH for 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 minutes or until it is light brown. stir in 1 tsp. butter and 1 tsp.vanilla. Microwave on HIGH 1 minute. Add 1 tsp. baking soda, stir quickly mixing well. Pour onto buttered foil lined pan spreading mixture with a wooden spoon. Cool completely then break into pieces. Store in an airtight container.
