Candy - Chocolate Peanut Sweeties

1 cup peanut butter (reduced fat or generic brand not recommended)
1/2 cup butter (no substitutes)
3 cups confectioners sugar
5 dozen miniature pretzel twists (about 3 cups)
1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
1 Tbl. vegetable oil


In a mixing bowl, beat peanut butter and butter until smooth. Beat in confectioners sugar until combined.

Shape into 1 inch balls; press one on each pretzel. Place on waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Refrigerate until peanut butter mixture is firm, about 1 hour.

In a microwave safe bowl or heavy saucepan, melt chocolate chips and oil.

Dip the peanut butter ball into chocolate. Return to baking sheet, pretzel side down. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Store in the refrigerator.

Yield: 5 dozen

48 to 50 pretzel rings 1 (8oz) pkg milk chocolate kisses 1/4 cup red and green M & M's Preheat oven to 275° F.Place the pretzels on greased baking sheets; place a chocolate kiss in the center of each ring. 1/2 c. peanut butter 1 1/2 c. coconut 1/2 c. chopped peanuts 1 can ready-to-spread chocolate fudge frosting In large bowl, combine peanut butter and frosting until well blended. Stir in coconut and peanuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Allow candy to dry at room temperature about 6 hours. Store loosely covered. Makes 4 dozen.
