Candy - Butter Cream Candies

8 oz. cream cheese
1 cup butter
2 tsp. Vanilla
2 pounds powdered sugar (2 boxes)

2 bags (12 oz. each) semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 Tbl. Butter

Cream butter and cream cheese until smooth; add vanilla and mix well. Add powdered sugar, one box at a time, and mix thoroughly. Cover filling and refrigerate until firm enough to roll into balls (about an hour or two).

After filling is chilled, roll into small balls (or big if you want a lot of filling). Cover and put in freezer for 15 minutes, to set up.

Dip well chilled balls in melted chocolate and set on foil or wax paper lined cookie sheets (or plates or whatever you can find!)

Cover and let stand room temperature overnight, or cover and refrigerate to set chocolate.

Makes about 120 candies (more or less depending on size)

Coating – Melt chocolate chips and butter in microwave according to package directions.

1/2 pound dates 1 cup sugar 3/4 cups water 1/8 teaspoon cream of tarter Put each date on the end of an orange stick. Mix sugar and cream of tarter, add water, and stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Bring to a boil and cook until syrup threads when dropped from tip of spoon. Remove from heat. Dip each date in the syrup to cover, then place on an oiled plate to cool. It also says you can do this with 1/2 pound of shelled walnut.

1 (28oz. jar) JIF peanut 1lb. box 10x Powdered Sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 whole stick margarine (1/2 cup)12oz. bag chocolate chips 2 T. shortening Toothpicks Waxed paper Mix together first four ingredients and roll into 1" balls. Place on waxed paper lined jellyroll pan. Continue rolling dough into balls until all dough is used.Place in freezer. Place chocolate chips and shortening in a microwave safe dish. Set for 90 seconds and stir until completely melted. If not melted continue using 10 second intervals stirring after each try. Take toothpick and stick in center of ball. Dip each peanut butter ball
