Cakesandfrostings - Hot Fudge Pudding Cake By Connie

Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp. shortening, melted
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup brown sugar
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 3/4 cups hot water

Preheat oven to 350.

Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and cocoa. Stir in milk, melted shortening and add nuts.

Pour batter into a 9 inch square pan.

In small bowl, mix together brown sugar and cocoa and sprinkle over batter. Pour hot water over batter and bake for 45 minutes.

Serve: Cut squares of cake and spoon sauce from pan over each piece. Serve warm with whipped or ice cream.

Serves 9.

Pour into ungreased 9-inch square baking pan.Combine 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa; sprinkle mixture evenly over batter.Pour hot water over top and DO NOT STIR!Bake 35-40 minutes or until center is almost set. Let stand 15 minutes and serve

Pour hot water over that. Sprinkle with topping. Bake in an ungreased 8X8 pan at 350º for about 45 minutes.
