Cakesandfrostings - Coffee Cake By Lauraalice

1 c oatmeal, uncooked
1 stick butter
1-1/4 c boiling water
2 eggs
1 c brown sugar
1 c granulated sugar
1-3/4 c all purpose flour
1/2 t salt
1 t cinnamon
1 t baking soda
3 T melted butter
3/4 c brown sugar
1/2 c coconut
1/2 c pecans

Put oats, stick of butter, and water in bowl for 20 minutes. Stir occasionaly.

Beat eggs, 1 cup brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Combine flour, salt, cinnamon, and baking soda. Add to oatmeal
mixture (don't use beaters).

Pour into greased and floured pan (9 x 13-1/2). Combine and crumble on top of the batter: melted butter, 3/4 cup
brown sugar, coconut, and pecans.

Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes.
