Cakesandfrostings - Cake President's Cake

1 box yellow butter cake mix
1 cup commercial sour cream
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup sugar
4 eggs
3 tsp. brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 to 1 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a Bundt or tube pan.

Mix together cake mix, sour cream, oil and sugar; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Put almost 1/2 of the batter in the pan.

Mix brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Sprinkle over batter in pan. Carefully add remainder of batter. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 60 to 70 minutes. Cool for 20 to 30 minutes, then remove from pans. Glaze cake.

1 cup confectioners’ (10X) sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
enough milk to make thin glaze

Mix well and pour over cooled cake.

1/2 lb. butter 1 3/4 c. sugar 2 3/4 c. Presto flour lemon rind 3/4 c. milk 3 whole eggs 1 egg yolk Mix sugar, butter, flour, and milk for about 5 minutes. Then mix in eggs. Bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes.

1 c. granulated sugar 1/2 c. shortening 2 eggs beaten 2 c. all purpose flour 2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 c. cocoa 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. sour milk 1 c. boiling water 1 tsp. vanilla Cream together the sugars and shortening thouroughly. Add the beaten eggs. Sift together the dry ingredients. Addalternately with the sour milk. (add 1 Tbl. vinegar to sweet milk to sour-I know you usually don't use this much vinegar with 1/2 c. milk but trust me it works) Beat well after each addition. Fold in the boiling water and vanilla.
