Cakesandfrostings - Cake Jam

1 cup butter
1/4 t. salt
1 1/2 cups sugar
Mix and cream well.

3 cups flour
1 t. soda, dissolved in 1 cup buttermilk
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. nutmeg
1 t. allspice
1 cup jam (preferably blackberry)
Add above to creamed mixutre and stir well. Pour into 3 greased and floured cake pans (round). BAke at 325 until

3 cups sugar
4 T. butter
1 cup milk
1 t. vanilla
Mix well and pour between layers and on top.

1 cup butter 2 cups white sugar 3 eggs 1 teaspoon baking soda 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 cup buttermilk 1 cup blackberry preserves 1 cup chopped pecans 1 cup shredded coconut 1 cup raisins Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease one 10 inch tube pan and set aside. Cream together the butter and sugar. Add eggs separately, beating well after each. Sift together soda and flour; add alternately with buttermilk to creamed mixture. Mix well. Add jam, pecans, coconut and raisins. Mix well and pour into prepared pan. Bake for one hour. L tsp baking soda l c buttermilk l/2 c butter l/2 c shortening 2 c sugar 5 eggs, seperated l tsp vanilla 2 c flour l c Angel Flake coconut l c chopped walnuts Cream Cheese Icing (recipe follows) chopped walnuts (for garnish) Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk and set aside. Cream butter and shortening; add sugar and beat until creamed.Add egg yolks and mix thoroughly. Stir in vanilla. Alternately add flour and buttermilk baking soda mixture to the butter mixture. Stir in coconut and chopped walnuts. Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into cake batter; turn batter into 3 greasedand
