Breakfastandbrunches - Pancakes - Hefeplinsen (yeasted Pancakes)

1 packet yeast
2 cups warm milk
250 gr (2 cups) flour
2 large eggs
50 gr (1/4 cup) sugar
1 tbsp. oil or melted butter

Beat all the ingredients together well, unlike for a usual pancake batter where you would be gentle. Let rise 40 minutes in a warm place. Add some diced apples or crushed nuts if you like.

Bake on a lightly greased griddle as any pancake, only these usually cook quicker than baking powder pancakes.

Serve with syrup or cinnamon sugar.
