Breakfastandbrunches - French Toast Casserole By Patti

1 - 10 oz. long thing loaf French bread
8 large eggs
3 c. milk
4 tsp. sugar
1/3 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. vanilla
Cinnamon sugar
Butter

Cut bread into 1" slices. Grease a 13x9" pan with butter.

Arrange bread slices in one layer in pan.

Beat next five ingredients together and pour over bread.

Cover and refrigerate overnight.

In the morning, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and dot with butter.

Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 45-50 minutes or until bread is bubbly and lightly browned.

Remove from oven and let stand 5 minutes. Makes 10 slices.

1 loaf french bread (26"-28" long, 2" wide-cut into 1" slices) 1 and 1/2 cups whole milk 4 large eggs 1/4 cup orange juice 1/4 cup sugar 2 Tbls. Gran Marnier 1 Tbls. vanilla (confectioners sugar for garnish) Arrange bread in single layer in 9x13 pan. Beat remaining ingreadients until sugar dissolves. Pour evenly over bread. Cover. Refrigerate 1-24 hours. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Lightly grease a jellyroll pan. Transfer bread to other pan, keeping the slices seperated. Bake 12-15 minutes or until puffy and golden. Dust with confectioners sugar. Serve with maple syrup.

1 loaf French bread 1 stick butter 1 cup brown sugar 3 tablespoons Karo Syrup 6 eggs 1 1/2 cups milk 1 tablespoon vanilla cinnamon fresh fruit Melt butter and brown sugar and karo syrup over medium heat stirring. Bring to boil and then pour into 9x13 casserole pan. Slice bread into 1 inch widths and lay over caramel mixture. Mix eggs and milk and vanilla and pour over bread. Sprinkle top with cinnamon and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate over night. Uncover and bake in 350 degree oven 45 minutes. Serve with fresh fruit and syrup.
