Crumb Topping (be sure to make a day ahead)3 sticks butter
2 1/4 Cup Sugar
3 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Mix the flour and butter well (til crumbly) stir in sugar and cinnamon. Put in the refrigerator overnight. This will make a very thick crumb topping.
CAKE
1 stick butter
8 oz cream cheese
1 1/4 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Cups Flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 Cup of Milk
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Cream butter and cream cheese. Add sugar and mix well. Then add eggs and vanilla.
Mix together the dry ingredients and add to batter. Mix well. Add milk and mix well. The batter will be thick.
Pour into prepared 12 x 16 pan. Arrange crumb mixture over top which will be a very thick layer.
Bake at 350 about 45 min or til toothpick comes out clean.
