Bread - Sweet Bread Cream Cheese Brunch Bars

2 tubes crescent rolls
16 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
1 c sugar
1 egg, separated
1/2 c sugar
1 or 2 tsp cinnamon

Lightly spray a 9 x 13 pan. Preheat to 350.

Spread one tube of the crescent rolls in the bottom of the pan, sealing seams.

Separate egg. Whip the cream cheese, 1 c sugar and egg yolk. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crescent rolls. Top with second tube of crescent rolls.

Beat the egg white till foamy. Brush on top of the crescent rolls.

Mix the 1/2 c sugar and the cinnamon. Sprinkle on top of the egg white.

Bake for 20 minutes. Makes 24 small bars.

2 pkgs. crescent rolls 1 egg yolk (save white) 1 c. sugar 2 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened 1 tsp. vanilla Topping: 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. slivered almonds, optional Use 1 pkg. crescent rolls to line a 9x13-inch pan, sealing perforations. Combine egg yolk, sugar, cream cheese and vanilla and spread mixture over dough. Unroll second pkg. of crescent rolls and place over cheese mixture. Beat egg white and spread on top.Topping: Combine 1/4 c. sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over top.
