Beansandgrains - Baked Beans Four Bean Hot Hotdish

8 ounces bacon, cut up
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 16 ounce can pork and beans, with tomato sauce
1 16 ounce can green beans, drained
1 15 1/2 ounce can butter beans, drained
1 15 1/2 ounce kidney beans
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 to 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt

In dutch oven cook bacon & onion til bacon is browned and onion is tender. Drain off fat.

Stir in remaining ingredients. Transfer the mixture to a 3 1/2 or 4 quart crockery cooker.

Cover & cook on low heat setting for 6 hours. Makes 10 to 12 servings.

1 lb. dried limas (baby) - goya is good brand 1 teas. salt 1/4 lb. sliced bacon 1-1/2 teas. dry mustard 1 teas. ginger 3/4 cup honey 1 medium onion, peeled and stuck with three whole cloves 1 medium onion, sliced Preheat oven to 375.Soak beans overnight in water. Cook in same water till tender and skins burst. Drain; reserve liquid. In a 2-1/2 qt. casserole, place 1/2 the bacon, all beans and rest of ingredients. Cover with liquid (even). Put on other 1/2 bacon. Bake covered 1-1/2 hours. Remove cover last 1/2 hour. Add more liquid if necessary.

Bake uncovered in 1-1/2 quart casserole for 1-1/2 to 1-3/4hours. Makes 6 servings
