Appetizers - Spread - Crab/shrimp Butter

1/2 C butter
1 C cream cheese
1/4 C mayonnaise
6 - 8 oz shrimp/crab meat, chopped
1 small onion, chopped very fine
2 T lemon juice
1/2 t crushed garlic
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1 jar cocktail sauce


Allow butter and cheese to soften. Mix mayo, butter and cream cheese: don't use a blender. Add lemon juice, garlic, worcestershire sauce, pepper to taste. Mix in crab/shrimp and onion. Chill at least 2 hours, cover with cocktail sauce.

8 oz. light cream cheese -- softened 1/4 cup seafood cocktail sauce -- or more to taste 1/4 cup sour cream 1/4 teaspoon dillweed 1 chopped green onion 1 6 oz. can flaked crabmeat -- drained squeeze of fresh lemon juice assorted crackers Combine first five ingredients together and beat till smooth. Rinse crabmeat, if desired. Squeeze some lemon juice over the crabmeat. Fold the crab meat into the cream cheese mixture. Chill to let flavors blend. Serve with assorted crackers.

1 (8 oz pkg fat-free cream cheese, softened 1 Tbsp. skim milk 3 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese. 1 Tbsp. minced fresh parsley 1 Tbsp. finely chopped green onion 1 garlic clove, minced 1/2 tsp. dried thyme 1/8 tsp. pepper In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and milk until smooth. add Parmesan cheese, parsley, onion, garlic ,thyme and pepper; mix until well-blended. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Serve with crackers. yield: 1 cup
