Appetizers - Seafood Crab Melt-a-ways
3/4 stick butter or margarine -- preferably butter2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
7 oz. jar sharp cheddar cheese -- Old English
7 ounces crabmeat
1 package English muffins
Combine all ingredients. Split English Muffins and spread mixture on halves. Cut into fourths and place on a cookie sheet. Broil until golden brown. May be frozen before broiled for later use.
Note: The recipe doesn't call for it but I would stir the crab around in a non-stick skillet first to insure that it was cooked thoroughly.

2 pounds lump crabmeat 1/8 pound thinly sliced Smithfield ham 1/4 cup chopped onion 1/2 cup ( 1 stick) butter or margarine, melted Cut ham into 1/2 inch strips; set aside. Saute onions in butter over low heat, until translucent. Add ham and crabmeat. Cook until lightly brown. Stir gently to avoid breaking crab lumps. Serve with crusty bread or toast points as an hors d'oeuvre or with bread and a salad it's a meal.
