Appetizers - Sausage Kielbasa On Rye

1 lb. kielbasa
cocktail rye bread
horseradish with beets or plain horseradish
mustard -- your choice

Pierce kielbasa all over with the tip of a knife. In a large pot, cover kielbasa with water and place over high heat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to maintain a slow boil and cook for 20 minutes.

Remove kielbasa from pan, drain and cut into 1/2" thick slices. Serve with cocktail rye bread, horseradish with beets and your choice of mustards.

Note: The kielbasa can also be cut into slices and sauteed instead of boiled; either cooking method gets rid of extra fat.
