Appetizers - Dip Spinach Dip By Marli

1 package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1 can water chestnuts, drained and finely chopped
2 green onions, chopped
2 cups mayonaisse
2 cups sour cream
1 package Knorr's dry vegetable soup mix
1 loaf round Pumpernickel bread

Combine all ingredients except bread and refrigerate at least 2 hours.

Cut top from bread, cut and pull bread from inside loaf, to form a bread bowl. Cube bread pulled from loaf.

Place dip in bread bowl and serve with pieces of bread for dipping.

When melted and bubbly, add onion, bell pepper, celery and garlic. Saute for 5 minutes or until onions begin to appear clear.
