Appetizers - Cream Cheese Crab Dip

1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese
Salt
1 bottle (12oz) cocktail sauce
1 can (6 oz) light crabmeat, drained well
Lemon juice
Tabasco sauce
Green onion, including tops, chopped

Cut cream cheese bar in half so that it is half as thick.

Place halves side by side to form a square. Salt lightly.

Pour 2/3 bottle of cocktail sauce onto top and sides.

Place crabmeat over sauce. Sprinkle with lemon juice.

Pour remaining 1/3 bottle of cocktail sauce over crab.

Sprinke with Tabasco. Top with green onions.

Serve with crackers.

Add remaining ingredients and blend in well. Refrigerate several hours to blend the flavors together. Serve with fresh fruit. Makes approx. 1 1/2 cups of dip.

3 TBSP. Butter 1 TBSP. Flour ½ cup milk 2 TBSP. Mayo (REAL) 1 tsp. Dry mustard 1 tsp. Horseradish 1/8 cup sherry Dash of salt 1 lb. Backfin crab Buttery cracker crumbs (Ritz are the best) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Make a cream sauce with the first 3 ingredients. Remove from heat and add the next 5 ingredients; mix well. Fold in crab meat. Put in a 1 qt. Casserole dish. Place cracker crumbs on top and dot with REAL butter. Bake at 350 until hot and bubbling (20-25 minutes). Remove -don't overcook it will dry out. Serve with melba
